5 Reasons To Have A Pre Wedding Session

November 8, 2022

There are so many reasons why it’s important to have a pre wedding session which is why I include them with all my wedding bookings. For couples who had never been photographed by a professional photographer before, this is something that must be considered and utilised. Here are 5 reasons why you need a pre wedding session with your photographer….

1) Get Comfortable in Front of the Camera

If you’ve never had your photo taken professionally before, it might be hard to know what to do in front of the camera. And that’s completely understandable! Most of my photos may appear to be natural, but that doesn’t mean that no posing was done at all. In other words, do not fear, because I’m here to help. The important thing for me is to be fun and relaxing. I take you on a walk and a chat before you know it you’ll be talking without even realizing I’m photographing you.

2) It gives you meaningful remembrance of a remarkable place in your life.

A pre wedding session is a great time to capture the natural and candid moments of your life. During the engagement, you are able to create meaningful memories of a remarkable place in your life. These sessions are more intimate than a wedding, it’s just us. On the wedding day the whole day is being captured but at pre sessions I am focusing on one moment in time. It makes it easier for couples to feel relaxed and at ease on your big day.

3) You get to know better my workmanship and personality.

There are many reasons why you should have your pre wedding session with me, which is one of the reasons I include it with all my wedding bookings. With your pre-wedding session, you get to know my workmanship and personality before I start shooting at your wedding day. This will help you can feel calm, relaxed and confident on your big day. I will be spending a lot of time with you on the day.

4) You Can Use The Images For/On Your Wedding Day

Another great reason for having a pre wedding session is that it allows you to include images from the session in your wedding stationary which will be treasured for years to come. I have seen couples decorate their venue with the pre wedding session images, even using them on table numbers. A personalised guest book using the images would be so much more personal than just a standard book. The uses are limitless.

5) Have Fun!

I know you’ve been told over and over again about the importance of having a pre-wedding session, but I can’t emphasize enough how important it is. This is the journey of you and your love story, it needs to be recorded before saying I do.

If these reasons have been helpful to you, then we need to make sure that date gets booked in as soon as possible so we can start making those memories! Check out more wedding planning tips here
