Winter Wedding at the Four Seasons, Monaghan

July 15, 2017

Ciara and Patrick’s winter wedding was beautifully themed from start to finish with simplicity and elegance. The Four Seasons, Monaghan provided the perfect place for all the celebrations, beautifully decorated for a winter wedding.

Bridal Preparations

Ciara’s home was so welcoming when I arrived and preparations were well under way. It was such a lovely atmosphere. A house full of family but so relaxing and stress free. I just loved how all the ladies especially, Mum & Granny, helped Ciara into her amazing dress.

The Vows

The couple got married in St.Peters Chapel, Collegeland, which is just across the road from Ciara’s house. This was my first wedding were the bride could literally walk across the road to say “I do”!

After the service, the couple stopped off at the Palace Stables, Armagh providing the perfect setting for their bridal shoot.

The Style

Ciara’s amazing dress was from Serendipity bridal boutique in Fivemiletown. Ciara told Getting Married in Northern Ireland magazine

“It was the second shop I went to and the second dress I tried on, my mum actually picked it out for me. I thought I would have went for something very plain and simple but I just fell in love with the dress. I loved the detail but yet it was fitted and simplistic in ways too though glitzy enough for a Christmas wedding. My best friend wanted me to buy it there and then as she just loved it but I wanted to try a few other shops before committing. I loved the whole experience of dress shopping and the girly days out to find the one!”

Ciara had two bridesmaids, her sister Lisa McConville and best friend Shauna Jordan and two flower girls, Niamh Daly and Ella Daly (Patrick’s nieces). The bridesmaid dresses fitted perfectly with the couples New Years Eve theme, from Ralph Lauren evening wear at House Of Fraser. Patrick got his suit and the groomsmen suits from ‘Cuba Clothing’ in Dungannon.

The wedding reception was held the Four Seasons Hotel, Monaghan, where over two hundred guests celebrated with the newly weds. Choosing to have their wedding over Christmas meant that friends and family who lived further afield would be home to enjoy their day with them.

The highlight of the day for Ciara and Patrick was seeing each other for the first time and the journey to the hotel.

The couple went to the Maldives and Dubai on honeymoon.
