Emma & Sean // Corick House Hotel & Spa

August 15, 2017

Where to even begin about Emma & Sean’s amazing wedding!! A day full of love and colour and amazing fun with an amazing couple!

The couple chose a unique quirky retro theme for the day filled with colour from the amazing flowers, becoming Mr & Mrs at St Patricks Cathedral, Armagh with reception to follow at Corick House Hotel & Spa.

Emma and Sean were introduced through mutual friends and pretty soon knew they had found someone special in each other. Almost a year after meeting they got engaged.

“It was in the June after we met, so we were together just under a year when we got engaged, but as Sean would say when you know you know,” said Emma. “Sean is an old romantic, so I didn’t know a thing and he had asked my dad for his permission. On the day we got engaged, we were up in Belfast. Sean took me to the rose garden in Botanic Gardens. He had a picnic with champagne and strawberries, and a docking station with our song “All of Me” by John Legend playing in the background. It was the most gorgeous weather and we had sat there for a little while when he got down on one knee. I was so shocked, I just cried happy tears! Followed by a million phone calls to family and friends.

Harry Potter fans will get what the “Always” means…..

Amazing flowers as always from the very talented Sarah-Jane at Vintage Violet Boutique, Markethill.

For the drive to the cathedral, I wanted my daddy drive to me in one of his own vintage cars. My brother was driving another one of his cars behind us. They looked so beautiful and it was a nice little personal touch to the day. Of course what I didn’t know until the next day is my brothers car broke down on the way to the cathedral, so mass could not start until he and his wife arrived! I was wondering why everyone kept stalling me from walking down the aisle. Thankfully he got it going again and we were able to laugh about it the next day.

The rest of the day went so smoothly and was so much fun. We were just on cloud nine all day. The guests had such a good time which was a big priority for us! Emma

Emma’s advice to couple’s planning their own dream day – Basically we would say to enjoy the build up and try not to get too stressed or overwhelmed. To remember the reason why you are getting married. My mummy gave me the best advice while I was planning our wedding and trying to think of every little detail. She said a wedding is only one hour, and everything afterwards is a bonus.

Emma and Sean’s day was filled with lots of beautiful personal wee touches, they made good use of their pre shoot images both in their invitations and the table plan at the venue, Corick House Hotel & Spa.

Emma & Sean had Jennie of Twinkle & Twist come along to keep the kids entertained with face painting and balloon making! Such a great idea if having kids at your wedding. Check out Jennie’s page Twinkle & Twist

Emma told me a story of her grandparents on the morning of their wedding day about a certain look and Emma you truly found that look with Sean. Here’s hoping that if I walk up the aisle I will see that look too. You really did have me in tears guys!

‘Cause all of me
Loves all of you
Love your curves and all your edges
All your perfect imperfections
Give your all to me
I’ll give my all to you
You’re my end and my beginning
Even when I lose I’m winning
‘Cause I give you all of me
And you give me all of you…… John Legend

Thank you for sharing your amazing day with me! Such a special wedding and will always be in my heart.

Love Melissa xx
